 FINANCIAL AND AGENCY SERVICES

This services are provided to Customers to enable them to access various financial and other similar services provided by TPC through Agency. These services are as follows:

a. Posta Cash:

It is a platform for receiving, sending and paying money from one customer to another.It is one among the digital services which are provided through Posta Kiganjani app. This service can be accessed via mobile phones to received on any mobile network and or the Customer can send or receive money at any Post offices or at any registered Postal Agent.

b. Post Giro:

It is payment service on behalf of the customer. The customer can send,pay or receive money through this payment system.In addition, the customer can buy or sell shares through this system.

     Payments may include the following:

  • Retirement benefits (pension),

  • Salaries of employees,

  • School fees,

  • Insurance Benefits,

  • To sell and buy shares of companies registered on the Dar es Salaam Stock of Exchange,

  • Payment of dividends resulting from the investment of Shares.

  • Various taxes and

  • Utilities such as water and electricity.

  1. Agency Services, Banking, Insurance,Mobile Networks and Airline Booking

The Agency Service is divided into various groups as follows:

  1.  Money Transfer:The organization receives and pays its customers through various payment systems including Western Union, Money Gram through an agency
  2.  Banking Services:The organization is an Agency for the provision of banking services including CRDB Bank, TCB, NBC, PBZ and Equity Bank.
  3.  Insurance Services:The organization provides Insurance services through agency for instance NIC, ZIC and Assemble Insurance.
  4. Mobile Network Services:The organization provides various agency services to TTCL (T-Pesa),Vodacom (M-Pesa),Tigo (Tigo Pesa) and Halotel (Halo Pesa) telephone companies.
  5.  Airline ticketing for travelers (Passengers): TPC has a license to book tickets for various domestic and international flight companies through an agency.

A citizen can book an Airline Tanzania (ATCL) flight ticket to anywhere in the country and abroad.This license also allows the Corporation to book tickets for other airlines on an agency basis.
