BOOST PRODUCTIVITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Mr. Toyi Aloyce Ruvumbagu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tanzania Posts Corporation, urged leaders to enhance productivity, creativity, and accountability to meet the Corporation's goals and deliver quality services.
Speaking at the opening of the 6th Extended Management meeting, he emphasized the need for self-assessment and professionalism among leaders. He called for strengthened performance and adherence to leadership ethics to ensure effective service to the public.
Mr. Ruvumbagu highlighted the importance of evaluating effectiveness and fostering strategic changes, urging leaders to take initiative.
“The government has high expectations of us. Let us not give others the chance to do what we can accomplish ourselves!”
He commended the Corporation for visible progress and expressed the Board's satisfaction with ongoing reforms, indicating hope for future goals.
Mr. Macrice D. Mbodo, Postmaster General, stressed the need for leaders to conduct performance assessments for the year 2024/2025 and to learn from challenges in the upcoming financial year 2025/2026.
The meeting focused on discussing the business performance report, evaluating the performance contract, and recognizing exceptional employees nationwide.
