THE POSTMASTER GENERAL OPENS A MEETING
The Postmaster General of the Tanzania Posts Corporation, Mr. Macrice Mbodo, officially opened the 42nd Session of the Dialogue Council held on May 20, 2026 at PH Executive Hotel in Morogoro, emphasizing the importance of digital reforms, accountability, and cooperation in achieving the organization’s strategic objectives.
In his speech, Mr. Mbodo thanked all leaders and members of the Dialogue Council, including the Chairperson, Mr. Mabruki Makame, and Commissioner Junus Ndaro, who is also the Secretary General of TEWUTA, for attending this important meeting.
While addressing the agenda of the meeting, Mr. Mbodo stated that it would focus on the implementation of the Ninth Strategic Plan, integrating work plans into the PEPMIS system, as well as various employee-related issues.
According to the Postmaster General, the Ninth Strategic Plan (2026–2030) aims to transform Posta Tanzania into the most trusted digital postal network in the country, connecting citizens, government, and businesses through quality services, innovation, and modern technology. The plan is built on six pillars: people, values and leadership, digital transformation, service excellence, business growth, cooperation, and sustainability.
He further explained that the Tanzania Posts Corporation intends to improve service accessibility for all citizens, revive the Postal College into a digital institution that will also provide training to neighboring countries, thereby increasing corporate revenue, modernize equipment in all offices, and strengthen training and capacity-building programs for employees.
In conclusion, Mr. Mbodo urged Council members to participate in discussions with openness, professionalism, and unity to ensure the success of the Ninth Strategic Plan for the benefit of the organization and the nation as a whole.
