TPC AND AZAMPESA IN SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS
The Tanzania Posts Corporation, in collaboration with AzamPesa, has launched the AzamPesa service for the Southern Highlands region, which includes the regions of Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe, Songwe, and Rukwa, on August 4, 2024, at the Posta booth at the Nanenane Exhibition grounds in Mbeya.
The launch event was officiated by Hon. Benno Malisa, District Commissioner of Mbeya, who emphasized the professionalism and innovation of the Tanzania Posts Corporation and AzamPesa in ensuring they provide appropriate services to the citizens, especially in the Southern Highlands region.
Additionally, the Tanzania Posts Corporation and AzamPesa have promised to provide fast and affordable electronic payment solutions, particularly during this period of technological advancement, to meet the needs of citizens nationwide.
The event was attended by various leaders from these institutions, including Ahmad Rashid, Finance and Agency Services Manager at Posta, Victor Kihwili, Regional Manager at AzamPesa, Michael Mwanachuo, Posta Manager for the Southern Highlands, Jonas MMbaga, Regional Manager at Azam TV, Lydia Shirima, AzamPesa Manager for Mbeya, and Godwin Davis, Regional Manager for Njombe.
The AzamPesa service enables citizens to send and receive money without any charges, with the Tanzania Posts Corporation acting as the main agent (Aggregator) providing this service in its over 300 offices nationwide.
