The Minister of Information, Communication, and Information Technology, Hon. Jerry William Silaa (MP), has urged the Tanzania Posts Corporation to enhance efficiency and innovation in its operations to continue providing quality services that meet the expectations of the citizens.

He made these remarks on October 7, 2024, during his visit aimed at understanding the operations of the Posts at the Headquarters of the Tanzania Posts Corporation in Dar es Salaam.

Additionally, Hon. Silaa has called on the Posts Corporation to improve its digital services to align with the government’s Digital Tanzania strategy under the leadership of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, aimed at achieving a digital Tanzania.

The Minister took this opportunity to emphasize that the Posts Corporation should seize every new opportunity for transporting goods, agricultural products, and valuable items, while also promising to continue collaborating with the Posts Corporation to advance digital transformation.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tanzania Posts Corporation, Ambassador Major General (Retired) Gaudence Milanzi, assured that the Board's leadership is prepared to oversee operational reforms within the Corporation to meet the expectations of customers and stakeholders.

On his part, the Postmaster General, Mr. Macrice Mbodo, outlined a strategic plan with priorities for the Corporation aimed at transforming the Posts into a digital service to meet customer needs, especially in this era of significant technological advancements.
